The HR Recruiter will play a crucial role in sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates to meet our staffing needs and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various channels to source and attract candidates for metal manufacturing positions, including welders, machinists, fabricators, CNC operators, and production supervisors.
  • Review resumes and applications to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and skills related to metal manufacturing roles.
  • Conduct interviews (phone, video, and in-person) to assess candidate suitability, technical expertise, and cultural fit within the manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates, ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment process.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with candidates to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, establish recruitment strategies, and define job requirements for metal manufacturing positions.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to keep candidate records updated and ensure compliance with recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate terms of employment, including salary, benefits, and start dates.
  • Assist with onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation sessions and completion of necessary paperwork.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities in the metal manufacturing sector to guide recruitment efforts and maintain a competitive edge.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as an HR Recruiter in the manufacturing industry, preferably within metal fabrication or production. 
  • At least 2 years of recruitment experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with specialized skills and certifications required for metal manufacturing roles 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with candidates, hiring managers, and industry partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing multiple recruitment activities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other HR software for candidate management and reporting purposes.
  • Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations governing the manufacturing sector.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. Spearhead recruitment initiatives to attract top-tier talent for diverse roles within the manufacturing sector.
  • Craft and disseminate job postings across a variety of channels, including social media, professional networks, and sector-specific job boards.
  • Filter applications, organize interviews, and serve as the go-to liaison for all recruitment-related inquiries.
  • Partner with department leaders to pinpoint job specifications and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Rigorously manage and regularly refine candidate databases and recruitment pipelines.
  • Foster and uphold relationships with key recruitment partners, such as staffing agencies and academic institutions, to establish a steady candidate flow.
  • Engage actively in job fairs, networking events, and comprehensive recruitment campaigns.
  • Provide systematic administrative backing to the HR department, including data management related to recruitment.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly favored.
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizing recruitment pipelines and managing candidate data effectively.

Job Role: This position is a balance between spending time in the process areas observing, interacting, and coaching employees and contractors on safe work practices and implementing Environment Health & Safety standards and practices across the site.

Job Location: Houston, 77043

Schedule: 6AM-4PM Monday-Friday (Weekends IF needed)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement detailed, task level, day to day EH&S (primarily safety and industrial hygiene) programs, utilizing Corteva EH&S work processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensures that the safety and industrial hygiene aspects of the site’s Operating Discipline are adequate and applied to achieve safety performance goals.
  • May be the first point of contact for safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental issues.
  • Coaches individuals on EH&S related tasks and activities compared against the Corteva safety standards, and site safety rules.
  • Assists in developing and achieving department and site EH&S goals.
  • As required, participates in the safety related reviews of projects, including management of change (MOC) reviews.
  • As required, conducts and documents investigations of incidents and ensures follow up actions to prevent re-occurrences are completed.
  • Perform audits and self assessments on EH&S standards and programs, including safe work permit reviews, isolation of energy reviews, elevated work reviews, etc.
  • Participate in Corteva Corporate EH&S Integrated Audits.
  • Create and communicate Safety LERs to the site.
  • Attend contractor safety tailgate meetings during projects.
  • Complete special projects to help improve plant EH&S performance.
  • Conduct site EH&S orientation.
  • Provide site specific safety training as directed by EH&S department.

 

Daily Expectations:

  • Attend department morning meeting.
  • Conduct safety walks of process areas and active jobs ensuring that safety standards and safe work practices are being followed through observation and interaction.  Assist Operations and Maintenance with correcting any issues that are identified during the safety walk. This activity should be at least 50% of the Safety Tech’s time.
  • Review active Core Permits

Monthly Expectations:

  • Audit completed Core Permits.
  • Verify isolation procedures as current.
  • Conduct Self Assessments as required by the Corteva standards.
  • Complete assigned training, document reviews, and compliance tasks.
  • Participate in department safety meetings.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills. 
  • Working knowledge of all EH&S/Safety work process and tools, working knowledge of plant operations and processes related to EH&S.
  • Must be able to apply Corteva EH&S Standards and Policies.
  • Can determine applicability of EH&S tasks and activities as related to standards/requirements.
  • Conduct training for the site’s employees and contractors.
  • Good computer skills to work with all of the EH&S work process tools as well as standard Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point).
