Summary

The Painter Technician is responsible for preparing and painting components and parts to quality and safety standards to prepare for shipping.

Minimum Qualifications

Previous painting experience mixing and applying an automotive grade, three-part epoxy paint on small and large assemblies required

• Painter 1 – Minimum 6 months – 5 years
• Painter 2 –  6 – 14 years
• Senior Painter – 15 years or more
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, and written directions.

Essential Functions

The painter’s main responsibility is to prepare parts and /or assemblies for painting.

Prepare/mix paint (primer and topcoat) and apply paint to parts and assemblies to company quality and safety standards.

Inspect wet and dry paint mill thickness to ensure it meets company expectations for desired paint life.

Monitor material levels and report any shortages/issues to his/her supervisor.

Ensure that equipment is maintained, cleaned, and serviced on regular schedules.

Communicate with paint vendor and supervisor to assist with process improvements

 Job Duties as an experienced Aluminum an Steel Welder for ResourceMFG:

• Focus of this position is producing steel parts in a timely and satisfactory manner
• Responsible for any fabrication necessary and on time production of parts
• MIG welding, tack up, grinding, cleaning, as well as assembly of skids and tanks
• Accurately measure and cut different materials on different machines
• Clean all slag, burrs, weld spatter, and repair any discontinuities in the materials, or the finished product

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications to be a successful Aluminum and Steel  Welder for ResourceMFG:

• 1 year work experience
• GED or High School Diploma
• Good attention to detail
• Follow all safety procedures
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16”
• Basic ability to interpret sketches & blueprints
• Proficient with hand tools i.e., Angle grinder, weld pliers, clamps, drills, impact, bench grinder, and air die grinders
• Successfully complete the on boarding training program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to be an ideal Aluminum and Steel Welders for ResourceMFG:

• Must be able to read, comprehend, and apply a WPS
• Capable of passing a steel plate GMAW fillet weld break test in the 2F position, buttons test, 1G GMAW test, 3G vertical up, 3G vertical down
• Must be able to set up oxyfuel and plasma torch as well as be able to make clean square cuts, straight cuts, beveled cuts, and wash welds
• Ability to cooperate with a team and take directions from supervisors as well as level II and level III welders
• Capable of operating the band saw, ironworkers, bench grinder, and port-a-band
• Must be competent enough to determine if their own work is complete and correct as specified by instructions, drawings and specifications
• Work independently or cooperatively with little hands-on instructions
• Must have a solid understanding of weld joints and weld symbols
• Ability to interpret blueprints / engineering sketches and correctly assemble them
• Must be able to perform routine machine maintenance and trouble shoot issues
• Ability to operate welder and replace gas cylinder or other parts
• Ability to use hand and power tools
