Maintenance Technician I

Location: Cadillac, MI

Local Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician I to join our team in Cadillac, MI. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Repair and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Technical training, certification, or related education is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and machinery
