Shipping Coordinator – Durham, NC – Day Shift
We are hiring a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to support a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse operation in Durham, NC. This Day Shift opportunity, Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, offers competitive pay based on experience. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring customer orders are accurately processed, packaged, and delivered on time while working closely with inventory and logistics teams.

Job Requirements
- Verify materials and parts prior to shipment by coordinating with inventory teams
- Review and maintain shipping documentation including customer orders, shipping labels, and bills of lading
- Process shipment transactions within the ERP system
- Package and protect materials to prevent damage during transit
- Determine shipment methods including parcel and LTL freight
- Prepare shipment labels using systems such as FedEx
- Coordinate freight quotes, select carriers, and schedule shipments
- Stage shipments for pickup and ensure proper documentation
- Track shipping expenses and maintain logs and spreadsheets
- Load, secure, and document shipments with proof of delivery
- Communicate shipment status, delays, and updates to internal teams and customers
- Follow domestic shipping regulations, safety standards, and labeling requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage shipping documentation and data entry accurately
- Experience with ERP or shipping software preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Outlook
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to safely load and inspect shipments
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting
- Frequent interaction with inventory teams and transportation providers
- Use of scanners, computers, and packaging equipment
