Job Opening: Batch Process Technician (10)
Description
A health nutrition distribution warehouse in Tempe is HIRING for Batch technicians on 1st and 2nd shift.
Are you interested in working a condensed work week? They are offering 4 day work weeks with 10hr shifts for both 1st and 2nd shift.
1st Shift – $18.50/hr Schedule – Mon-Thurs 5am-3:30pm
2nd Shift – 19.50/hr Schedule – Mon-Thurs 3:45pm-2:15am
Job Description:
i. Read and analyze all of the instructions of the batch record to determine product specifications and information
ii. Weigh or verify ingredient weights, using metric measures and balance scales according to specifications.
iii. Record operational and production data on specified forms, labels, in logbooks, and update room status signs.
iv. Mix or blend ingredients by starting and stopping machines when specified times or specified product qualities are obtained.
v. Unload mixtures into containers for further processing.
vi. Package, seal, and properly label materials to be placed on plastic pallets and transferred to the next stage of processing or restocking.
vii. Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
viii. Clean and sterilize the equipment and tools as specified.
ix. Comply with the Company SOP’s.
x. Examine materials closely to provide information or indication of problems to management or Quality Assurance.
xi. Collect samples of materials or products for Quality testing.
xii. Reports to work regularly and on time.
xiii. Perform duties safely and report unsafe conditions or actions.
xiv. Assists in other duties as needed and directed.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
i. Quality oriented and demonstrate attention to detail.
ii. Ability to read written instruction is required, in English is preferred.
iii. Have problem sensitivity and information ordering skills.
iv. Knowledge of production processing.
v. Some computer knowledge preferred.
5. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
i. Must frequently lift 50 lbs. or move up to 100 lbs. using pallet jacks.
ii. Regularly required to stand, walk, pull, and walk up and down stairs.
iii. Specific sensing abilities required by this job include near vision and manual dexterity.
