Accounting Assistant / Accounting Support Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented candidate to support our Accounting Department. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in an accounting environment, strong computer skills, and at least 3 years of experience using QuickBooks Desktop. Candidates without QuickBooks Desktop experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Desktop
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Enter and reconcile financial data accurately
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with QuickBooks Desktop (required; no exceptions)
- Previous experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping environment
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, data entry, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate, degree, or coursework in Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Experience with payroll or reporting (if applicable to your needs)
