Shifts Available: 2nd Shift & Weekend Shifts Shift Differential: Additional compensation applies for Weekend and 2nd Shift schedules. Training Requirement: Must be able to train on Day Shift.

In this hands-on role, you will work with specialized equipment to grind, polish, inspect, and finish optical parts used in advanced applications. Optics Fabrication Technician Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate optical components using grinding, polishing, and finishing equipment
- Inspect parts using microscopes, gauges, interferometers, and other metrology tools
- Perform surface quality checks and measure optical specifications
- Clean, prepare, and safely handle optical materials
- Set up and operate fabrication tools following work instructions
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiency
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Optics Fabrication Technician Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow technical instructions and handle delicate materials
- Experience with precision manufacturing, optics, machining, or related fields preferred
- Basic understanding of measurement tools
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work under magnification
- Experience in optical fabrication (grinding, polishing, lapping, etc.)
- Familiarity with optical inspection equipment such as interferometers or profilometers
- Knowledge of optical tolerances, surface quality, or cleanroom practices
