OVERVIEW
The position is responsible for the quality of molded parts according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finish product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Informs production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related to mold validations, materials, and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures and process improvements.

What You’ll Do:
- Inspect parts per established procedures to ensure top-notch quality.
- Generate Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials.
- Control inventory within MRB and maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, analyze trends, and take action to improve quality.
- Assist in preparing QAP (Validation) packages and improve automated measurement programs.
- Monitor and report on scrap, rework, and defective parts per million (DPPM).
- Stop production when unacceptable goods/processes are identified.
- Train direct labor personnel as needed and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on mold validations and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to read and understand drawings (GD&T)
• Understands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methods.
• Statistical background (i.e. Capability studies, Gage R&R)
• Able to write appropriate Work Instructions
• Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity
