ResourceMFG NOW HIRING: Assemblers

Location:  Comstock Park, MI

Shift: Monday – Thursday 6a – 4:30p Overtime as needed

Pay Rate: $17 an hour

The Assembler is responsible for basic, manual tasks related to assembling industrial HVAC units. Tasks can include building basic subassemblies using hand tools (wrenches, hammers, pliers and drills), installing high-temp padding (either cut with retractable knife or using a simple spot welder), and assisting in installation of components for the unit (fans, shafts, dampers, etc.). After training, this position will build smaller HVAC units. Assignments will typically be overseen by the more experienced Assemblers in the area. The tasks that make up this job will be taught to a new Assembler I.

Essential Functions: RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Interface & communicate with others to accomplish tasks.
2. Communicate both verbally and in writing.
3. Maintain a clean work area.
4. Working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements.
5. Must be available for overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:   

1. Show operational proficiency with Hi-Lo equipment.
2. Show operational proficiency with overhead crane equipment.
3. Use of hand tools to install insulation and build subassemblies.
4. Build smaller units for the commercial product line.
5. Interface and communicate with other departments to accomplish tasks.
6. Communicate both verbally and in writing.
7. Maintain a clean work area.
8. Working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements for the above responsibilities.
