Job Title: Production Technician – 2nd Shift

Pay Range: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

Regular Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (2nd Shift)
Training Period: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM (1st Shift) until tasks can be performed independently

Position Summary

The Production Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing a variety of production tasks in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires a self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision while maintaining focus, accuracy, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Perform production activities in accordance with safety guidelines, including the use of dust masks, ear protection, and protective eyewear.
Operate production equipment and handle materials in compliance with company standards.
Conduct basic mechanical tasks and support production processes as needed.
Complete basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
Enter and track information using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Operate a forklift as needed (experience preferred).
Maintain work area cleanliness and adhere to facility rules, including non-smoking requirements.
Work efficiently at a fast pace with repetitive tasks.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Follow all safety requirements regarding the use of protective equipment and personal grooming (e.g., proper mask fit).
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prior production or manufacturing experience preferred.
Basic understanding of mechanical functions.
Strong mathematical skills with ability to perform accurate calculations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.
Ability to work at a fast pace in a repetitive environment.

Work Environment

Production environment involves handling dusty materials; proper PPE is required at all times.
Hearing protection, protective eyewear, and dust masks are mandatory.
Facility is non-smoking; smoking is prohibited on premises and within 25 feet of the building.
