Pay will be 30 P/h
2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:00am
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Programming of metrology including CMM’s, Optical, Surface Finish, Roundness and other instruments, in both off-line and live conditions. Proofing and troubleshooting as required.
• Calibration-Calibration of small measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators and other hand held gages. Maintain and update calibration system of all company measuring devices. Order instruments as necessary.
• Reverse Engineering-Reverse engineering of valves and components to support drafting and engineering.
• Interface with customer portals to send and receive information.
• Internal auditing of processes and procedures to the Del West Quality Management system.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working knowledge of SPC and mathematical concepts.
• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the aerospace or automotive manufacturing industry.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong organization skills are required.
• Meticulous attention to details is required.
• Working knowledge MS Word, Excel or similar computer software systems.
• Demonstrate dependability and self-motivation.

Duties include:
· Lead, supervise, and oversee fabrication shop
· Read blueprints and execute scope of work
· Communicate with the management team to maximize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
· Schedule packaging shop and ensure production deadlines are met
· Manage shop equipment and ensure that a safe, orderly condition maintained
· Understand and strictly adhere to safety and quality guidelines without deviation
· Develop welding/pipefitting procedures
· Provide root cause analysis and execute corrective action plans
· Initiate, coordinate and enforce production, safety, quality systems, policies, and procedures
· Ensure that all welding/pipefitting meets the specified requirements
· Ensure that all welding/pipefitting inspection tasks are performed
· Act as a technical resource and provide employee training
· Maintain records, and performance documentation
· Prepare clear and concise reports
· Other duties may be assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma and/or College Degree
· Must have 5+ years’ experience in structural steel fabrication and in a production environment
· Solid technical background with hands-on experience in metal fabrication, steel, and pipefitting.
· Proficient in construction drawings and blueprint reading
· Extensive experience in welding, pipefitting, utilization of equipment and overhead cranes
· Management experience as well as experience ordering materials/shop supplies
· Excellent communication skills, professional, team-player, and safety focused
· Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
· Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
