Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Precision Hand Soldering under Microscopes for long periods of time
• Wire routing, cutting, crimping, splicing, cable forming with boots and tubing
• Mechanical assembly, Contact loading and connector assembly.
• Wire stripping and termination (crimping and loading) with close barrel contacts and terminals (coax and tri-ax is an A+).
• Read and understand schematics, wiring lists, assembly drawings (blue prints), engineering or detailed work instructions, material lists and Bill of Materials. 
• Use equipment such as soldering irons (with appropriate soldering irons’ tip), heat guns, hot tweezers, thermal and or automated wire strippers, solder type, pliers, screw drivers, cutters, tape measures, pull testers, rulers and calipers.
• Experience in Molding of cable assemblies is a plus
• Inspect and verify own work complies to the required workmanship standards
• Speak and read in English
• Have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with leads, supervisors, QC inspectors and Engineers.
• Understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented. 
• Maintain a clean, safe well organized work-station through routine housekeeping.
• Familiarity with continuous process improvement techniques.

Summary: The Production Supervisor is a hands-on position, responsible for meeting the Company’s production, quality, and safety goals, while ensuring compliance.   Objectives are met through interfacing with direct reports; assigning and managing their work assignments, monitoring work performance, and providing feedback on their performance.   • Create or update Packaging S.O.P.s, I.E.s, and written procedures required to assure efficient production.
  • Monitor area for compliance to or departures from safety practices, compliance, cleanliness, and quality.
  • Maintain the accuracy of inventory control, item counts, and material accountability during the transfer and conversion of inventory items.
  • Interact with PIC, Compounding, Quality, Marketing, Distribution, Warehouse, etc. to meet goals
  • Investigate, report, recommend and implement corrective actions for any incident which deviates from or does not comply Inc. policies and standards
  • Ensure Lead people, Material Handlers, Packers, etc. are coordinated, correctly perform all of their duties, and all document control procedures are adhered to.
  • Evaluate and analyze efficiencies with the suggestion or implementation of corrective action for improvement, so as to meet efficiency goals and that schedules are adhered to.
  • Transmit, train, and enforce quality requirements, expectations, and standards, including all housekeeping guidelines, to production staff.
  • Prepare packaging instructions and review bills of material.  Manage labor/timekeeping system.
  • Determine process and safety improvements. Formulate production strategy and optimization, troubleshoot and follow up on CAPA.
  • Maintain a command and control position in the Department by regularly inspecting all the activities in the Department, resolving problems as they arise.
  • Audit and close completed work orders, reviewing records for accuracy and completion. Provide feedback if incomplete records, errors, deviations or significant variances are detected
  • Conduct meetings which include but not limited to, explanation of policy changes, general announcements, safety, quality alerts, and general procedural training
  • Properly handle personnel issues including intrapersonal conflicts, time clock issues, disciplinary actions, dress code compliance, violation of policies, etc. Coordinate actions with Human Resources.
  • Meet with associates to provide positive feedback as well as to convey their status to achieve output or efficiency goals, as well as with a corrective action plan for any deficiencies.
  • Provide detailed reports of production and quality issues to Management in a timely manner and with a high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly
  • Control inventory, including the elimination of variances and review of usages
  • Develop new or improved work methods to resolve problems of an unusual nature, with Management review available
  • Assist in production as needed, which includes manning a production position
  • Review and evaluate personnel. Implement guidance and training for personnel. Including progressive discipline when necessary
  • Maintain adherence and compliance to all Company policies, department rules, labor laws, FDA GMP requirements, OSHA and quality regulations
  • Assure proper training is executed and documented
  • Report and investigate accidents.  Monitor areas for unsafe conditions and practices.
  • Strong results and quality orientation. Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve goals
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time to meet company goals

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Additional duties and responsibilities are frequently assigned by supervision.

  2. Review and maintains continuous production schedule for work assignments, by switching batches, washing and troubleshooting problems.  Verify proper paperwork and perform real-time transactions for bulk issuance.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Laser/TIG Welder performs daily production welding of various connectors, flange, cover and housing welds using TIG, Laser and manual spot Weld equipment. Ability to set-up, process and inspects sub miniature parts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Supports daily shipping agenda processing parts for welding, marking and testing
  • Interprets drawings, job travelers and work instructions for set up, 1st part samples and production lot processing
  • Uses Laser Marking equipment for identification serialization
  • Initiates edits or updates to G code for pulse and power requirements
  • Performs Helium leak testing, fine and gross leak also, documents results for record archive
  • Troubleshoots weld penetration and touch-up or remedy pinholes or interruptions as required
  • Uses shot peen, bead blast and fine abrasive media for rework, touch-up or blending
  • Performs basic preventive maintenance check to the equipment
  • Performs basic repairs to the equipment
  • Coordinates monthly weld specimens for section analysis

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Technical training in welding and experience of more than 2 years or equivalent

The position is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machining center, CNC lathe, Swiss Screw Machine, or manual mill and lathe per work orders, routers, & blueprints. Parts are smaller in size, 12” max. Most runs are short, 10 to 500 pieces.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to evaluate blue print or work instruction and develop machining strategy (manual lathe/ mill, CNC)
  • Identify tooling to machine hardware.
  • Create work holders or fixturing used to machine hardware on CNC or manual mill/ lathes.
  • Running first piece machine set-up ready for inspection.
  • Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.
  • Changing tools and offsets based in cutting conditions when running CNC.
  • Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.
  • Using proper feeds, speeds, and other cutting parameters based on work piece material such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc.
  • Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.
  • Participating in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production related issues on the shop floor.
  • Be able to machine prototype hardware 1 off and/or production runs.
  • Other similar or related duties as required.
  • Deburr parts when necessary.

•          Interprets work instructions, drawings and schematics to identify and verify terminations, polarity and routing

  • Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment.

  • Ability to conduct routine maintenance functions (i.e. lubrication, replace worn parts, etc).
