Immediate Need for Electro-Mechanical Assemblers 

Position Summary:

With limited supervision, performs complex and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly operations.  Review job order and use cycle count method to ensure necessary parts are available for required assembly of part/component.  Assemble new parts/components, assemblies, and subassemblies.  Make repairs to returned components.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

  1. *Perform electrical and mechanical assembly tasks. 
  2. Completes soldering on components.
  3. Harness and point-to-point wiring.
  4. Electrical ring-out and use of test equipment.
  5. Read and follow detailed blueprints, digital instructions, written procedures and verbal and written instructions.
  6. Interpret ECNs (Engineering Change Notice), ECOs (Engineering Change Order), and TDs (Temporary Deviations).
  7. Perform engineering changes and rework. 
  8. Provide input for design improvements and develop assembly techniques.
  9. Update and maintain work center shortages.
  10. Process ECPs, DMRs, and DMIs and others.
  11. Perform in-process and final inspection.
  12. Perform tasks in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
  13. Train and assist lower level assemblers.
  14. Status supervisor and/or lead as appropriate.
  15. Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibility:   None.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Three years related experience.
  • Education: High School degree or equivalent.
  • Skills/Technical Requirements: Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, color code, Bill of Materials and detailed blueprints. Use soldering guns, wiring crimping, manual, power and pneumatic hand tools, and measuring instruments.  Effective written and oral communication skills.  Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.

 

Job Conditions:  Work on manufacturing floor in assigned lab/work area.  *May work in specialty product lab area requiring safety glasses, mask, hairnet, no jewelry, and lab coat.  *May utilize tools to magnify parts and assemblies to perform detailed assembly work.

Physical Demands/Strengths:  Prolonged bending, kneeling, crawling, and laying down; ability to stand for eight hours; lift up to 25 pounds; must be able to distinguish color and work over ladder

Position Summary:

Under minimum supervision, monitors assembly and production schedules to ensure a proper supply of materials and assemblies are available at each phase of the production process to meet the Company’s production goals and service requirements.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

1.Plan and release work orders in ERP system to support the production order action schedule. Responsible for action upon order release action and exception messages from the system.
2.Schedule and coordinate procurement of necessary materials and/or assemblies deliveries to meet production schedules.
3.Status all work order shortages and expedite details to manufacturing daily.
4.Responsible for work order closures, material reconciliation, and material returns to stock.
5.Interpret ECN’s to determine new requirements for materials and correct BOM errors.
6.Review discrepant materials from manufacturing and process through the material review board.
7.Communicate problems that will impact production requirements.
8.Work with departments to solve production and/or material problems that might affect production requirements. Prepare status reports as required.
9.Responsible for inventory level of materials planned and managed; includes review and disposition of obsolete inventory.
10.Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: May provide technical guidance to lower level planners.

Qualifications:

?Education: Minimum of Associates Degree in Business or equivalent experience. APICS certification preferred.

?Experience: Minimum of eight years experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of five years as a production planner. Knowledge of Syspro and Oracle experience preferred.

 ?Skills/Technical Requirements: Good oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented, with good basic math skills. Intermediate to advanced computer skills required with an emphases in Excel and MRP (material resource planning).

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and maintain daily production while resolving critical issues impacting regular production.
• Supervise the manufacturing schedule and implement effective strategies to reach and maintain 98% on time delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate key metrics to ensure accurate, efficient, cost effective, and timely production.
• Continual assessment of reorder points and planning strategies for all Raw Materials and WIP.
• Continual improvement and streamlining of material flow, leading to various projects such as WIP format conversion, WIP remnants analysis, expiration dating changes, etc.
• Establish and maintain pull systems for raw materials and WIP across the supply chain.
• Continual assessment and improvement of raw material accruement strategies and communication to maintain on time delivery of all none chemistry raw materials.
• Maintain and update the Build Requirements List for all new and existing products.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Quality System Regulations and procedures.

• Processing PD, UPDs, CRs and other documentation necessary to maintain production and product quality.

Preferred educational background:
