    The CNC Programmer will do the following:

    Transfers engineering drawings to CNC part programs that automate various machines. Employee will be responsible for programming Tube, Fiber, and CO2 lasers, as well as Up/Down Bend Center. This includes the creation of job orders and nesting sheets. Will be responsible for working with floor lead to maximize material usage and to minimize waste. Some machine operation may be required occasionally, however training will be provided.

    • Generates CNC part programs that optimize the machines capabilities and implements maximum sheet utilization
    • Provides assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with the CNC part programs
    • Provides bar-coded labels for each part in the production job using label software
    • Provides steel material requirements for each production job to the purchasing department and shop floor using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
    • Analyzes programs to find causes of errors and revises CNC part programs
    • Works in conjunction with document control to generate job packages to production
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Description-

    ***Press Brake experience required***

    Set up and operate conventional CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metal parts by performing the following duties:

    • Study blueprints, drawings, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
    • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
    • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control according to established procedures.
    • Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.
    • Confer with management, programmers, and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area and return all unused tooling to the proper place.
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers, managements, suppliers and customers.
    • Ensure that all safe work practices are followed and adhered to.

    Work experience Requirements

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and documents
    • Must have machine maintenance experience
    • MUST have Press Brake experience
    • Ability work with mathematical concepts such as portability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and a sometimes moderate noise level in the work environment.

    • Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills, and errands
    • Printing/Creating production work tickets for the production floor
    • Monitor work tickets for timely distribution, closing, updating past due items
    • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
    • Answering calls on multi-line phone system
    • Partner with all Plant staff to maintain office policies as necessary
    • Prepare sales orders for invoicing to the customer
    • Coordinate with IT department on all office equipment
    • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time

Essential Job Functions: • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible • Measures and marks pipe for cutting and threading according to specifications • Cuts pipe, using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine • Threads pipe, using pipe threading machine • Assembles and installs a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic • Connects pipes, using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools • Secures piping to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools • Install insulation in various product types, utilizing a respiratory protection as required. • Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects • Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules. • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment. • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement Basic Qualifications: • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Requires a minimum of one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment • Basic understanding of hand and power tools and proper use • Ability to read and use tape measure accuracy • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: • Blue print reading and knowledge
