  • Production Operator

    Location: Longmont, CO Base Pay: 18.00 per HOUR

    We have an immediate opportunity for Production Operators to join our diverse team in Longmont.

    2nd shift 2:30 pm - 11 pm (must be available to train on 1st shift for up to 2 months)

    Pay $18 DOE

    • Provide line support for assembly and escalate safety and process quality issues. Tasks may include parts/materials preparation, mechanical/electrical assembly, polymerics processing, manual soldering, composite layup, and masking operations.

    • Monitors & trouble shoots electrical & mechanical equipment used in the process of building hydrostatic pumps, motors, and components.

    • Disassembles, overhauls, and rebuilds production equipment under supervision.

    • While executing manufacturing operations, apply a beginner's level of knowledge and skills in hardware assembly, troubleshooting and repair.

    • Assists in the prove-out of new processes and process changes by gathering data, making observations about the process, and communicating ideas to improve results. 

     A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

    Must have good mechanical aptitude and previous assembly experience is preferred.

    • Utilize production work orders and associated documents to complete work per all engineering requirements as defined, prints and work instructions to ensure part(s) meet all customer quality requirements per the company’s AS9100 Quality System.
    • Study, read and understand blueprints, process documents and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, etc
    • Acquire tooling needed from Tool Crib and tool systems as needed (drill bits and countersink tools, etc.)
    • Learn and use micrometers, calipers and other measuring devises to perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure parts meet specifications per required work orders
    • Set up Assembly equipment and tooling to ensure correct sub assembly and final assembly product as per specifications and instructions from direct report
    • Clean equipment and work area and maintain in an orderly condition on a daily basis
    • Detect and report defective equipment, materials, and/or faulty operations to direct report
    • Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with others and maintain them over time
    • Identify the need for the creation of work instructions and setup information for new work coming to the area
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency and maintain quality of product

    First of three levels of customer care / technical sales administration work. Under general direction manage all aspects of customer’s orders. Receives questions from customers and follows established procedures to provide answers or refer calls/communications to appropriate staff. Typical questions are focused on order status, abilities to expedite, changes to orders or general requests for information or documentation pertaining to an order. Receive, review, and process customer purchase order information to verify that the information provided is complete and correct to ensure final (booked) order details are accurate and in conformance with customer needs and factory capability.

    ? Expedite orders with the Scheduling group when the customer’s ‘must have by’ date is inside prospectus lead time. Communicate promise date abilities back to customer.

    ? Process and coordinate change orders using the order management guidelines.

    ? Review reports (i.e. Hold report) and resolve order related issues as appropriate.

    ? Screen for Export Compliance Regulations and ensure conformance prior to accepting/booking the order.
