Looking for Machine Operators for LSI, located in Le Sueur MN. 

Manufacturing Production Positions 

Pay based on experience! $20-$25 + Shift Differential

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift (Mon – Thurs 5:00 am – 3:20 pm)
• 2nd Shift (Mon – Thurs 3:00 pm – 1:20 am)

Your typical day may include:

• Assemble, measure, weigh, mark, label, count, blend, track, record, inspect, package, and palletize various products or materials.
• Set up and use various hand and power tools to finish edges, remove flash, clear holes, saw, sand, grind, blast clean or trim molded metal or plastic parts.
• Use hand tools to clean, paste and assemble sand cores.
• Rotate to operate numerous machines to fabricate products ranging from simple to elaborate.
• Setups and dismantles simple to complicated machine fabricating equipment according to instructions, including the flow of lubricants, pressure, and depth of stroke, and installing, positioning, and aligning molds/dies using measuring tools such as rules, micrometers, gauges, feelers, and hand tools.
• Assist with or perform routine maintenance, lesser repairs, or cleaning
• Operate a forklift – to move and store products and load and unload trucks.
• Enter information and interact with computer software and documents.
• Alloy, transfer, and pour molten metal into molds, ladles, and bull ladles
• Regulate furnace/metal temperature; stirring, fluxing, and skimming off dross.
• Inspect for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Monitor for unsatisfactory quality or unusual operating conditions and alert the appropriate Supervisor
• Instructs others on work instructions and specific techniques.
• Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolving unusual operating conditions.
• Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs-all other duties as assigned.
• Monitors for unsatisfactory quality or unusual operating conditions and alerts appropriate Supervisor.
• May require successful completion of specific education, training, or certifications.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum Education: Reading and understanding English language work instructions and some computer use

Preferred Education: Some trade school or equivalent

Minimum Skills/Experience: Effective computer experience, Independent decision-making, and effective self-management. One or more years of relevant work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience: One to three or more years of relevant experience. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, plus Strong mechanical aptitude and proven machine operations and/or mechanical aptitude, effective computer use, basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management.

Material Handler

Starting Pay Rate: $19.50-$23.50

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift (Mon – Thurs 5:00 am- 3:20 pm)
• 2nd Shift (Mon – Thurs 3:00 pm – 1:20 am)

Job Description/Your typical day may include:

Placing and retrieving product from appropriately designated areas via forklift and other material handling equipment throughout facilities to ensure that production and customer needs are met.

May involve the receipt of incoming material/product, and may load and unload trucks.

Skilled in reading and implementing work instructions and/or shipping documents.

May measure, weigh, blend, mark, label, count, track, record, inspect, package, and palletize a wide variety of products or materials.

Checks forklift and other equipment periodically for proper operation and may perform routine maintenance and cleaning.

Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.

Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolve unusual operating conditions.

Routinely drives a fork truck.

May assemble, pack and/or package a wide variety of products or materials.

All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education: Reading and understanding English language work instructions

Immediate Openings for Tool Maintenance Positions

1st Shift ~ 5:00 am to 3:20 pm

3rd Shift ~ 9:00 pm to 5:00 am

$25-28/HR Starting Based on Experience

• Sets up and operates standard tool room equipment, such as lathes, milling machine and grinders to machine parts for die casting equipment.
• Makes repairs and changes to die casting dies.
• Works from blueprints and drawings; uses precision measuring tools; makes slides, ejector pins, cores, and pinions.
• Cleans die cavities with abrasives, makes gate changes; removes drag, straighten cores, drills water lines, etc.
• Analyzes difficulties and diagnoses repairs needed.
• Repairs dies while still set in the casting machine; grind in overflows and gates.
• Changes unit dies.
• Removes castings stuck in dies; dismantles and reassembles dies.
• May make the more complicated repairs on trimming tools. 
• May occasionally operate a forklift. Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.
• Responsible for quality of work and to appropriately resolve unusual operating conditions.
• Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs.
• All other duties as assigned. 
• May require successful completion of specific education, training or certifications.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, reading and understanding English language work instructions

Preferred Education: A two-year technical or equivalent degree

Minimum Skills/Experience: one year in similar position, mechanical aptitude, effective computer use, basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Above plus – Strong Computer and math skills, one year on the job instruction and/or apprenticeship programs and strong mechanical aptitude as demonstrated through success at increasingly more complex assignments.
