Duties for this position include:

  • Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the company
  • Coordinate all Internal IATF & ISO14001 Audits and resulting corrective actions and evidence for closure of non-conformances. Facilitate resulting corrective action meetings and serve as a team leader for closure of all open issues resulting from internal audits
  • Act as an auditor guide for IATF & ISO14001 Audits
  • Assist Quality Manager in the coordination and documentation of all corrective actions resulting from External Audits
  • Coordinate, maintain and continually improve the company’s document control process
  • Review process updates to IATF, ISO14001 and Customer Specific requirements
  • Process, maintain and publish all updates to the company procedures, forms, instructions and process documentation. Coordinate all approvals as needed for updates
  • Coordinate and maintain the company’s record retention process for all departments
  • Provide QMS Awareness Training for new employees upon notification from the Plant Manager or Human Resource Manager
  • Assist department heads in the review and maintenance of all documented company policies and procedures
  • Assist Quality Manager in implementation of QMS / EMS
  • Carrying out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping
  • Follow up and audit event progress to ensure results are achieved and sustained.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Support production in reducing and eliminating equipment / tooling downtime and scrap utilizing good analytical methodologies. (Preventive / Predictive Maintenance and Spare Part Inventory).

• Perform equipment / tooling and facilities preventive maintenance (PM) per schedule provided. Complete all documentation required for PM’s.

• Perform repairs as required, and document all activities to maintain objective of less than 30 minutes’ mean time to repair (MTTR). • Assist in fabricating and implementing projects, as required.

• Maintain and monitor a healthy and safe work environment utilizing MSDS’s for the facility and all company, local, state and federal guidelines.

• Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.

· Determine specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gauging tool, performing required inspection        before, during and after machining/repair.

· Perform hand operations involved in producing fixtures, tools, jogs, and dies. Use hand tools of the trade.

· Ability to grind flat and contoured surfaces with hand tools.

· Fit and assemble fixtures, tools and dies. Set up, run off, and test dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die            difficulties to their source and correcting same.

· Repair tooling as required while setup in the production equipment.

· Responsible for providing necessary tools for daily work.
