  • Robotic Engineer

    Location: Howell, MI Base Pay: Based on experience

    Our client located in Howell, MI are looking for an experienced Robotic Engineer in their manufacturing factory. 

    • 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday
    • Pay: $20-$28 per hour, based on experience
    • Contract to Hire

    Robotic Engineer Duties include:

    • Ensure all safety, failsafe, and ergonomic features are functional.
    • Mechanical/electrical set up and adjustments of equipment before production.
    • Perform machine repair including Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting on assembly equipment: robots, grommet insertion, resistance welding, orbital peening, and MIG welding.
    • Fabricate stands and weldments.
    • Move, install, and change equipment as instructed by engineering.
    • Update and keep accurate records of machine programs, maintenance records, safety, and machine performance.
    • Continuously improve equipment to make it as safe and efficient as possible.
    • Support production as needed.
    • High school diploma or equivalent plus formal PLC and Robotic Training
    • Skilled with both hand and power tools
    • Must possess demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude
    • Computer operating and programming skills
    • Be proficient in the operation of standard shop tools (i.e., saws, drill presses, MIG welding).

    Maintenance Mechanic duties include:

    • A general knowledge of electronics and electrical systems is preferred to perform basic repairs as needed or directed.
    • Requires a broad knowledge of mechanics, controls, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related tools and equipment, together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, and all varieties of precision measuring instruments and the use of broad training in heavy maintenance trade.
    • Experience working with power transmission equipment (motors, speed reducers, v-belt and sheave drive systems, roller chain and sprocket drive systems), welding and fabrication using AC/DC arc welders, MIG welders, oxy-acetylene cutting torches, plasma cutters, milling machines, lathes, cutoff saws, surface grinders, mechanical presses, rigging equipment to include slings, chains, shackles, wire rope systems, working with overhead cranes, combustion systems, etc.

  • Maintenance Mechanic

    Location: Portland, MI Base Pay: Based on experience

    Industrial Maintenance Mechanic's are needed at a client of ours, located in Portland, MI. This is an off shift (2nd/3rd) position and pay would be based on experience, ranging between $28-$32 hourly. Preferred Journeyman or certificate in the Machine Repair trade and/or relative experience.

    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Manufactures all equipment on his or her own including prototype equipment with minimal supervision and/or engineering assistance.
    • Has full knowledge and proficient in conventional and CNC equipment and/or proficient in manufacturing three (3) dimensional holding and punch tooling, mold modification or repair, and other special tooling for blow molding process.
    • Assists the department supervisors with meeting a predetermined schedule and development of future schedules including coordination of manpower and projects assigned.

    Maintenance Technician Job Duties include:

    • Work safely in the factory, following safety work instructions or designated safety procedures (such as Lock Out Tag Out).

    • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and carry out remedial actions.
    • Supports all necessary data collection required for cell and product improvement initiatives.
    • Inspect all machinery for defects and potential problems in accordance with preventative maintenance program; repair and replace parts as required.
    • Perform general equipment maintenance duties as required e.g. cleaning, oiling and greasing machines according to the preventative maintenance program.
    • Perform basic mechanical and pipe fitting is a plus.
    • Program robots for sealants, adhesives, mastics, MIG and resistance welding.
    • Trains associates as required in welding, robotics and PLC’s as needed.
    • Set up robotic welding stations by operating/retrieving various computer programs stored in robotic welding equipment.
