  • MIG/TIG Welder

    Location: Grand Rapids, MI Base Pay: Based on experience

    MIG/TIG Welders are needed for a client of ours, located in the Grand Rapids, MI area. The MIG/TIG Welder would be responsible for working with Steel and Galvanized Metals. This is a 1st or 3rd shift opportunity with room for advancement and growth.

    • 1st shift schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3PM

    Duties of a MIG/TIG Welder include:

    • Blueprint and Schematic reading
    • Work closely with the engineering department to ensure that welded parts are in specification 
    • Basic Math(add, subtract, multiply, divide, measure, whole fractions, and decimals.
    • Knowledge of saws, grinders, drills, flame-cutting equipment, and other power tools. 
    • Able to de-bur and clean welds and materials, and able to visually inspect your and others welds.
    • Freehand welding  - MIG (90%), TIG, Stick, and ability to braze is helpful.

  • Brake Press Operator

    Location: Grand Rapids, MI Base Pay: Based on experience

    We are currently looking for skilled Brake Press Operators for a manufacturing partner of ours, located in Grand Rapids, MI. Experience working with Trumpf and Cincinnati brand Brake Presses is desired. This is a 3rd shift opportunity and pay is based on experience ranging between $20-$23 hourly.

    Duties of a Press Brake Operator include:

    • Ability to follow daily schedules and meet production goals.
    • Ability to produce quality parts that meet company/customer specifications.
    • Ability to read and comprehend detailed work instructions, blueprints, and/or drawings.
    • Effectively communicate any issue affecting production to the supervisor.
    • Follow industry and company policies, procedures and safety standards at all times.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Activities include lifting, stooping, twisting and bending on a regular basis.
    • Properly change tooling, ram position, ram speed and backstop position as needed.
    • Record daily production and scrap in ERP system.
    • Set up, adjust, and operate a press brake to perform a variety of operations.

  • 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

    Location: Grand Rapids, MI Base Pay: Based on experience

    A client of ours is in need of a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician opportunity is Direct Hire, with hourly salary ranging between $25-$30 hourly. This position requires performing a wide range and variety of maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep plant property, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition; diagnose problems and work in many varied and diversified capacities required in general maintenance, overhaul, and repair of plant equipment, processes and facilities.

    Duties of a Maintenance Technician include:

    • Diagnose, troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment including plumbing, electrical, roof, ceiling, and floor.  Repair or replace components or contact outside vendor services as needed.  Equipment ranges from punch presses, saws, CNC machining centers, lathes, drills, four-slide machines, cranes and forklifts.
    • Perform preventative maintenance duties such as replace filters, maintain fluid levels and replace equipment component units as required.
    • Repair or improve machinery as directed by Facilities Manager or work with outside vendor to complete repair and reduce downtime.  Familiarity with the following:
      1. Controls interface (PLC, sensors).  Ability to write programs is helpful.
      2. Purchasing components needed for repair or improvement
      3. Bend and hang conduit
      4. Run pneumatic pipes
      5. Hydraulics (actuators, valves, etc)
      6. Pneumatics (actuators, valves, etc)
      7. Relay Switches
      8. Wire diagrams
    • Perform general fabrication or welding duties to make repair parts or items for improvements to equipment.
    • Work with outside service providers such to find and procure replacement items effectively. 
    • Work with outside service providers such as landscapers, cleaning service etc. to provide direction or assistance.
    • Respond to requests from computerized work order entry system and/or email requests from staff.  Prioritize work appropriately.
    • Identify and look to improve safety.  Knowledge in safety (lockout / tag out, arc flash, fire prevention, crane and forklift operations).  Insure plant and equipment meet the safety codes.

  • Maintenance Technician

    Location: Grand Rapids, MI Base Pay: Based on experience

    We are currently looking for a Skilled 2nd shift Maintenance Technician for a client of ours, located in Grand Rapids, MI near the airport. The 2nd shift Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining all components of the conveyor system and building systems, as well as, assisting with external vendors and contractors as required. Hourly pay for this position is based on experience, ranging from $25-$27 hourly.

    Duties of a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician include:

    • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of troubleshooting and replacing electrical control components
    • General knowledge of building systems (i.e. wet sprinkler systems, compressed air systems and plumbing)
    • General knowledge of HVAC systems including split systems, make up air units, air handling units, gas regulators and components and supply / exhaust systems, etc.
    • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of building electrical systems including 480V, 277V, 208V, 120V and 24 VDC systems
    • Conform to LOTO site procedures for all equipment
    • Conducting preventive maintenance (PMs) on building and conveyor systems in established timelines
    • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including, Outlook and Word
    • Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information regarding building infrastructure, systems operation and maintenance to departmental management and maintenance team
    • Responsible for housekeeping and cleanup of maintenance and project areas daily
    • Ability to interpret specifications, schematics, operation and maintenance manuals, etc.
    • Assists Maintenance Manager in developing standard operating procedures, daily work schedules, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance for conveyor, building, HVAC and electrical systems
    • Assist Maintenance Manager in managing 3rd party building, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical contractors conducting service, repair and new contract work
    • Diagnose and perform general mechanical and electrical equipment repairs including light fabrication
