Performs bench or line assembly operations to assemble flexible gravity or power conveyors or related products by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Assembles parts as depicted in blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Fastens parts with bolts, screws, rivets, chains, or other fasteners. Operates (after trained on) drill presses, assembly machines, or riveting machines as needed to assist in assembly operation. Works at different workstations as required or shifts from one station to another. Works as a member of an assembly team assembling one or two specific parts. Works on an assembly line where tasks vary as different models are assembled. ** Mount electrical enclosure boxes, motors, switches, and other components by use of blueprints, hand drawings, or verbal instructions. Attach all wiring and terminals as indentified in diagrams, drawings, or verbal instructions. Other duties may be assigned. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES *Ability to read a simple blue print and tape measure is preferred. Ability to operate specific equipment or hand tools. Must have good hand, and eye coordination. Previous experience in manufacturing or electrical experience is preferred ** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Assembly experience, basic wiring knowledge or skills preferred and to be able to work as a team. Strong math skills is an asset. Attendance is needed to keep the team on course. If you can't work overtime you need not apply.
