Large Steel Manufacturer is seeks welders for their expansion in their production.
The qualified candidate will be able to GMAW and maintain certification in a 2G position on a wide variety of structural steel.
Interpret weld symbols and follow weld procedures.
Perform production mig welding operations on a variety of plate, tubes and related materials working from prints and/or verbal instructions.
Setting welding machine to assure uniform bead, adequate penetration with minimum warp. Utilizing cutting torch and arc air gouger as required and replenish electrode wire reel and/or stick electrode as necessary.
Performing cleaning operations when required using chipping hammer or grinder to remove flux, burn-though and splatter. Utilize overhead crane to lift within capacity of crane
Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

At least one-year welding experience preferably in manufacturing or heavy industrial setting
Ability to pass a tape measure and 2g horizontal test
Ability to read blueprints, manuals, layouts and other plans
Must be able to read and follow directions
*Applicants must be available to work either shift
(1st shift - 5:30am to 2:00pm, 2nd 2:00pm to 10:30pm) weekends and required overtime*
High school diploma or GED
