ResourceMFG is seeking exceptional candidates with a desire to grow in manufacturing for a Manufacturing Lead position in Kinston, NC. ResourceMFG's Manufacturing Lead is a temp-to-hire opportunity on 2nd Shift with room for advancement within local manufacturer.

ResourceMFG's Manufacturing Lead will be reporting to Department Manager/Supervisor. Hours on 2nd Shift range from 5:00PM to 4:30AM; shifts may range from 8, 10, 12 hours in length.

Qualifying candidates must be able demonstrate and maintain an exceptional attendance and performance track.

The Manufacturing Lead is responsible to direct operations of employees on a window screen production line, ensuring that safety, housekeeping, and quality policies and procedures are adhered to while achieving hour/unit and yield goals.

Primary Functions:

  • Ensure employees are following all safety policies and procedures set forth by the management team.
  • Actively provide feedback on opportunities for improving safety-related policies and procedure
  • Ensure and drive 5S principles and housekeeping standards within department of responsibility
  • Ensure employees are following all quality policies and procedures set forth by the management team
  • Hold employees accountable for reaching and maintaining productivity targets
  • Training of new hires on specific area of operation
  • Crossing-training employees as needed to minimize production interruptions and ensure quality compliance
  • Communicate issues to appropriate personnel on 2nd Shift (supervisor, maintenance, human resources, etc) and to adjacent shift
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in operations
  • Support and sustain all continuous improvement activities within area of responsibility
  • Complete administrative duties as assigned (process monitoring, start of shift checklists, safety audits, etc.)

Job Requirements


  • High School or GED required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions
  • Punctuality and ability to work overtime as necessary
  • Ability to work within a diverse workforce

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to comfortably speak in front of groups of 20+ people on a daily basis for shift start up meetings
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Ability to learn all positions within the department
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 30 pounds or more
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
