Days: 6-2:30 pm
Monday- Friday SUMMARY Position performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce cables, harnesses, and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies that conform to ISO9000 Work Instructions and drawings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Places parts in specific relationship to each other following detailed work instructions. Assemble components by verifying connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies per customer drawing.
Check Customer Specification Sheet (CSS) to determine required assembly, exterior finish on product and any special options. Use hand tools such as pliers, dykes, strippers and crimpers daily; use automatic and semi-automatic stripping and crimping equipment daily. Check power, hand tools and operating controls and safety stops for correct operation. Resolve assembly problems and report all problems to lead for assistance.
Maintain a clean, clear and safe working environment to comply with Policies. To be trained and qualified to strip, crimp, solder or otherwise fastens parts together according to work instructions. Use automatic and semi-automatic stripping and crimping equipment daily. Required to work at different stations as needed due to production schedule. Required to work on tasks and production lines with different configurations of articles as required by production schedule. Wear all protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses as required.
QUALIFICATIONS Ability to read and understand English High School Diploma Minimum 2 years Hands-on experience in contract manufacturing industry; Possessing working knowledge of assembly technique, tools and equipment used in the manufacturing of cable, hardness, and electro-mechanical assemblies
