Laboratory Technician, Morning shift – La Mirada, CA

Full Time, 8am-4:30pm

$25-$26 per hour DOE

Responsibilities:

• Perform bench tests by using various types of mixers, fryers, ovens, proofer, and misc. foodservice equipment
• Execute required tests by utilizing pH meter, texture analyzer, colormetric analysis, digital calipers, and scales
• Evaluate finished goods organoleptic parameters such as flavor, aroma, color, and texture
• Provides support to the R&D team by scaling ingredients, completing sample requests, and packages samples for shipment
• Maintain lab inventory of raw ingredients and replenishes as needed
• Ensures the cleanliness of the test kitchen and its inventory daily and on a regular basis
• Able to drive and gather ingredients from supermarkets when needed for innovation and development
• Perform ad hoc tasks when requested. The above are basic responsibilities and we may require more technical and administrative support upon completed training.
  • Includes: monitoring ingredient inventory for the department, updating BOMs based on production requests, holding preliminary scheduling meetings, etc.
