Job Responsibilities

CNC machine operators are responsible for setting up and running CNC machines, such as mills and lathes, to manufacture parts according to specifications. Daily tasks include loading raw materials, calling up machine programs, monitoring spindle loads, inspecting finished parts, and performing routine maintenance. Operators may also adjust machine settings, replace worn tools, and ensure quality control to meet tight tolerances and production standards. While operators typically do not write G-code from scratch, they must identify issues like tool wear, chatter, or coolant problems before defects occur

Proficiency using Fusion 360 for CAD modeling and CAM toolpath generation. Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges). Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
