Aircraft Painter / Finisher

Position Overview

An aerospace company is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter / Finisher to support painting and finishing operations on helicopters and related components. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience with surface preparation, and the ability to identify and correct paint defects to meet high-quality standards.

Essential Functions & Competencies

Painting & Surface Preparation

• Measure and mix paint and primer components according to manufacturer specifications.

• Perform surface preparation including composite filling, corrosion removal, sanding, masking, painting, and polishing of helicopters and parts.

• Identify and correct paint imperfections such as adhesion issues, blushing, sags, runs, drips, orange peel, solvent pops, pinholes, fisheyes, scratches, wrinkling, and dry spray.

Equipment Operation

• Operate spraying equipment including spray booths, compressors, HVLP spray guns, and mixing equipment.
