Job Opening: Safety Coordinator

Company located in Largo, FL is hiring for a Safety Coordinator

Hours:  Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (rolling Saturdays during busy season). 

Job Duties: 

• Assist the Safety team to minimize risk of work-related hazards throughout all company factories. 
• Monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. 
• Promote a safe environment and secure work sites. 
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• 6 months of experience as a safety coordinator with current OSHA 10
• First Aid, CPR and AED certifications. 
• Prior military and First Responders encouraged to apply.

Essential Job Functions:

• Help develop and enforce OSHA policies factory wide
• Organize and conduct OSHA training for the sites within their scope of responsibility
• Work with site leadership to monitor compliance and identify safety or health issues
• Intervene in unsafe activities
• Keep records up-to date of all onsite inspections, internal audits, accidents, injuries, and near misses.

Pay:  $18/hr depending on experience

• Able to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day
• Previous experience as a Safety Coordinator required.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Current on First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.
