An essential Manufacturer in Chatsworth is looking for Machine Operator III.
Full time/Long term Opportunity!
Pay: $22.00 per hour
2nd shift openings! Hours: 1pm-9:30pm
Must have steel toe shoes/boots
Location: Chatsworth CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday – OT + weekends
Summary:
Machine Operator works under minimal supervision, is able to perform all levels of repair and
maintenance; expert in troubleshooting minor mechanical repairs for at least (8) machines. Compliance
with all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOP’s, and Safety Procedures.
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
• Plan changeover schedule for each machine/line to include changeover parts are cleaned and
inspected prior to each changeover, review changeover checklist, set-up, and start-up each piece of
equipment, and support machine/line until operation is achieved.
• Use of hand tools, portable power tools, and material handling equipment to perform a precision
set-up during production line change over.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment by making regular inspections and
completing assigned preventive maintenance work orders.
• Assist Maintenance Technician in diagnosing problems to learn to perform complex repairs.
• Accountable for the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of equipment, including mechanical and
programmable controls, as well as completing the necessary filler, blender, encapsulators, tablet
presses, coating, conveyor, vacuum transfer systems, and palletizer adjustments for changeovers.
• Assists team in teardown/setting up heavy machinery, operating various equipment, sanitization
(major/minor clean)
• Performs manual aspects of the operation process, including but not limited to making boxes,
loading machines, hand packing product, visual and physical checks of in process and finished
materials as trained and instructed by supervisor, in compliance with all safety and cGMP
procedures.
You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):
• Minimum of year (6) year of experience in Manufacturing/Packaging or related field.
• Possesses a genuine desire to work in Manufacturing/Packaging truly likes working within all aspects of the manufacturing process.
• Sufficient mechanical aptitude to perform routine repairs, adjustments, and precision set-up procedures on machines/equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs., climb step-up ladders, and perform constant motions of scooping, wiping, raising of arms, bending, and kneeling, if needed
• Ability to be exposed to nutraceutical raw materials and powders which may include allergen related items
• Ability to comprehend basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• High School education (HS Diploma or GED) preferred
• Experience in food/pharmaceutical processing operations, FDA regulated industry, or combination of experience, education, and
training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to perform the job successfully (preferred
