Local Food company that a proud leader in tortilla manufacturing needs a Maintenance Mechanic. The maintenance mechanic will uses electrical and mechanical expertise to trouble shoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is always in good operable condition. Maintenance mechanic is performance to hire and company offers full benefits with room for advancement
Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
1. Install, operates, maintains, checks, and trouble-shoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Install, trouble-shoot, and repair solid state and electronic equipment as well as mechanical equipment.
2. Uses safe working practices and always reports/repairs any hazard conditions.
3. Inspects machines, takes any required test, and completed “all” reports and paperwork as required.
4. Perform PM and repair work in accordance with A.I.B. standards.
5. Diagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts need replacement and when repairs are necessary.
6. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pump, valve, and mechanical equipment when directed.
7. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles electrical motors, relays, timers, and allied electrical equipment.
8. Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, tubing, controls, and grounding as directed.
9. Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting in the performance of maintenance work. Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation.
10. Help maintain spare parts inventory for plant.

Pay: $28 can vary on expirience

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred. 4 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience required. Food/beverage processing or packaging environment preferred.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal electric codes

Certified for PLC programming e.g., Allen Bradley or equivalent preferred.

Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting the following: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Variable Frequency Drivers (VFD's) and all types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment

Able to read and make proper installations of complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams.
