Supply and Logistic Company is looking for a Warehouse Manager.
This company is located in the City of Chatsworth and they are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Warehouse Manager. Currently, we’re seeking a Warehouse/Production Manager to oversee our operations. This multitasking professional will be responsible for managing and supervising various warehouse activities, including receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing, with an unwavering commitment to quality. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented and capable of overseeing multiple aspects of warehouse management simultaneously. Your role will involve ensuring inventory accuracy, coordinating orders, and monitoring shipping times, all while overseeing the fulfillment of product orders year-round.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ensure peak efficiency in warehouse operations, with customer satisfaction as the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse staff, as well as establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
- Develop efficient warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and requirements, scheduling production, managing inventory, gate processes, and shipping.
- Oversee inventory and logistics management.
- Prioritize, pick, and pack orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Evaluate daily shipment schedules, strategize, and prioritize daily work schedules to meet company and customer delivery requirements.
- Manage resources to fulfill orders and meet customer target dates.
- Maintain strict inventory control, including monitoring expiration dates and inventory rotation.
- Conduct cycle counts and investigate discrepancies and out-of-stock inventory.
- Establish Min/Max/Reorder levels for all inventory items.
- Provide and verify accurate reports of discrepancies and employee issues, submitting findings to supervisors.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate and timely handling.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.
- Train, motivate, and develop employees to meet job description standards.
- Establish and enhance communication structures between purchasing, sales, and office staff.
- Take responsibility for warehouse area, building maintenance, and exterior grounds; perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
- Order warehouse supplies.
- Implement, enforce, and monitor safety and security policies to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Manage schedules and workflow, distributing workload and responsibilities appropriately.
- Conduct meetings with warehouse, customer service, sales, and purchasing teams.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement.
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse leadership role, managing a team.
- Excellent time and task management skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Preferably, knowledge of lighting fixtures manufacturing.
- Proficient in warehouse procedures and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of workflow and department process improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities.
- High-energy, self-starting individual with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in the English language (verbal and written); bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Experience within the lighting industry preferred.
