Description:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed
- Compute dimensions and tolerances from conventional blueprints and CAD drawings using Mastercam
- Design in Mastercam in Three, Four and Five Axis programming
- Write programs for a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) Lathe machines to produce precision parts
- Work with tight tolerances
- Ensure dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance
- Provide set-up drawings and tool lists for machine tool operator
- Write programs for various CNC equipment
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years machine shop experience that includes machine programming with CNC Lathe in aerospace industry
- A combination of four years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in machining
- Trade certificate for CNC programming in Mastercam is desirable
- Experience with lathe toll holding and tooling
- Familiar with using QC equipment to validate parts against drawings
- Solid Works or Solid Edge is a plus and/or willingness to learn Solid Edge
- Proficient in Mastercam and Three, Four and Five Axis programming
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Fanuc control and Mitsubishi control a plus
- Ability to lift 50lbs (Moving work holdings/Raw Material)
