MIS Technical Support Specialist with adaptable people skills will monitor and maintain the computer systems, networks and software applications of the company. They may install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. IT Support & Maintenance – Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; provide support over the phone or in person to resolve issues. 2. Troubleshooting – Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults; replacing parts as required; 3. Documentation – Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports; creating diagrams/flowcharts and written instructions to set up a system; supporting the roll-out of new applications; setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with security issues; 4. New Systems/Development – Testing and evaluating new technology; recommending and supporting planned new IT infrastructure and processes encompassing entire company. Job Dimensions: Programming aptitude highly desired. Degree in IT/MIS/Engineering fields preferred. Position requires extensive understanding of Microsoft programs and Windows server administration as well PC based workstations system building and 2 to 5 years of relevant experience. MS SQL database administration, ERP or inventory management & sales software is desirable. Experience with aerospace/electronics industry is preferred. Candidate must be flexible and a proficient multi-tasker with a penchant for detail and accuracy.
