Automotive Electrician Needed in LaSalle
Pay $21+ Depending on experience
1st shift
As an Automotive Electrician you will be responsible for installing electrical accessories or components for up-fitting truck bodies.
Automotive Electrician Essential Functions:
•Install various types of vehicle lighting i.e. beacon lights, strobe lights, etc.
•Install various switches and relays
•Install trailer plugs, cranes / auxiliary batteries, dump trucks, compressors
•Install Brake Controllers (standard, electrical, or air brake systems) •Pneumatic Systems and Electrical
•Use overhead cranes to lift parts, units, motors, generators, or subassemblies.
•Read technical information needed and work orders to perform installations.
•Inspect electrical or electronic systems for defects.
•Test electrical circuits or components for proper functioning.
•Cut materials according to specifications or needs
•Disassemble and reassemble equipment dashes for installation
•Seal gaps or cracks to prevent leakage or moisture intrusion.
•Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
•Follow safety guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
•Knowledge of selecting correct wires and tools.
•Knowledge of OEM wiring (color codes & functions)
•Knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams
•Experience in Underbody Compressor/Generator Hydraulic Compressors
•Working knowledge of 12 volt & 24 volt systems
•Knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams
•Must have knowledge of PTO wiring and diagnostics
•Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Knowledge of using mathematics to solve problems.
•Understanding diagrams and work related documents.
Automotive Electrician Requirements
- Follow safety guidelines
- Follow standard work instructions as assigned
- Perform hands-on tasks
- Lift up to 50lbs, stand, bend, and reach
- High School Diploma/GED
