Job Opening: Procurement Specialist
Description
ResourceMFG is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist if our North Houston client (area: Aldine Westfield / Hardy).
Temp to hire $17 an hour (Monday thru Friday) 7AM – 4:30PM (overtime may be required)
This position is Client services & Procurement.
- Provide proposals to customers and maintain proposal folders
- Receive, process, and verify the accuracy of customer orders
- Prepare sales orders based on customer purchase orders
- Communicate any anomalies or exceptions with respect to the customer order
- Provide regular delivery schedule updates and answer customer inquiries
- Coordinate all activities related to purchasing products beginning with the intent to purchase through delivery
- Assess the requirements of products, preferred supplier, and date product is required
- Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers
- Communicate any product issues with suppliers and notify management of reoccurring and/or unresolved issues
- Inside Sales, Customer Service and Procurement experience is required (manufacturing or logistics industries)
- Must take initiative and help in other departments, as needed
- Must be computer savvy, have knowledge of QMS and advanced MS Office Applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Good analytical and networking skills
- Work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, executive leadership and support staff
