Quality Team Lead – Toledo, Ohio
2nd shift $20.00/per hour
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Supervise employees who perform a variety of work in a warehouse setting. Train, motivate employees to ensure proper work rules, procedures and processes are followed according to company quality and policy standards. Oversee the inspection process, responsible for the laborer’s and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for coordinating, assigning, and reviewing work
- Establish work schedules and procedures
- Participate, support, and comply with all company health and safety initiatives and requirements
- Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished
- Ensure to communicate with all customers and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner
- Responsible for administrative duties of the area
- All other duties assigned by the Operations Manager
- Report any policy or procedure violations to Manager
- Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents that occur within the designated facility (on or off site). Accident or incident reports must be completed by the supervisor immediately when such event
- Ensure that working conditions are safe at all times
- Apply problem solving techniques to ensure all personnel and quality issues are resolved in a timely manner. 8D; 5 Why; Kaizen Newsletters
- Maintain written/computerized records and other forms of information
- Completing daily safety talks with employees
- Creating & controlling work instructions & other related documents required
- Validation of Work Start Up
- Responsible for On the Job Training & updating required documents
- Responsible for Quality Requirements as documented in the ThyssenKrupp Hearn Quality Management System
- Lead employees in meetings at a set frequency (Daily; Weekly; Monthly)
- Reviewing Operation Sheets for accuracy
- Shift to Shift Communication
- Completing reports on time
- Comply to the ISO 9001: 2000 Standards
- Must lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping skills in all areas of the facility
- Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures
- Responsible for the coordination of shift start activities prior to start time (table requirements, paperwork, etc.)
- Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for completion of jobs
- Must be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree or higher preferred
- Ability to work overtime or weekends if needed
- Prior experience in an automotive related manufacturing facility preferred
- 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift to 35lbs and work within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through with assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate procedures and instruct others in a clear and precise manner
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
