WE ARE HIRING for the Carol Stream Area
Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

Preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of the facility and the machine equipment.

Support overall upkeep and repair of building including the office, production, common space and grounds areas whether through completion of the physical repair or through the coordination of vendor repair efforts.

Provides technical assistance to the entire manufacturing operation. Monitors facility for extraordinary cleaning situations such as non-hazardous spills and accidents or heavy usage.

Job Requirements

Move, install, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, adjust and maintain facility, facility grounds and production equipment.

Define, locate, and create purchase requisitions for necessary components/materials to maintain and repair facility and production equipment.

Fabricate custom components/tools to complete the job.

Perform building repair and maintenance services as needed. Including, but not limited to, carpentry, welding, painting, electrical repairs, building walls, roofing, floors, plumbing, doors & hardware, light fixtures, cabinetry, drywall, ceilings, curbing, and more.

Assemble and disassemble warehouse shelving, assembly lines, and fixtures.

Provide assistance in the storage, transfer and handling of hazardous materials, including proper completion of manifests or other documentation.

Follow all safety procedures, including the wearing of assigned and required personal protective equipment. Ensure that contractors comply with company safety policies and procedures.

Perform preventative maintenance, document work and schedule future PM.

Assist in problem solving investigations.

Maintain clean and orderly work areas. Participate in 5S program.

Participate in the maintenance department’s schedule to clean floors in production and office areas, and remove snow from entrance doors as necessary.

Participate in the maintenance department’s schedule to assist in the pick-up and proper disposal of sludge and machine liquids.

Participate in the maintenance department’s daily schedule to clean and inspect common facilities (lunchroom, lobby, restrooms); replenish supplies as needed. Remove and empty trash receptacles; replace containment bags.

Notify Maintenance Department Lead of operating malfunctions in plumbing and electrical fixtures detected during regular performance of duties.

Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.

Respond to after-hours operational emergencies, if required.

Perform other duties as directed by Management.
