OVERVIEW The QA Technician I is responsible for the inspection of sub-assemblies and finishing product according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finish product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Inform production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related to improvement of equipment, materials and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Inspects parts being produced per established procedures and AQLs • Reviews defective parts coming from machines, analyzes them and provides feedback to Maintenance Technician and Production personnel • Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials • Responsible for controlling inventory within MRB • Completes and enters inspection data into Infinity Software (SPC) • Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels. • Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes • May assist in train direct labor personnel and others • Undertakes special assignments as required • Contributes and participates in continuous improvement activities • Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player

Operate all testing equipment including, but not limited to spectrometer, FTIR analyzer, moisture analyzers, pH meter, burets, beta & aflatoxin analyzers, chlorine analyzer, pipettors, and various laboratory testing equipment.

• Aid in training of new Quality Assurance personnel.
• Assist in the calibrations, troubleshooting, and functionality of lab equipment.

Qualifications:
- Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation. Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Dairy Science, Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry or related field or comparable experience in dairy laboratory testing in five (5) out of the last ten (10) years.
- Must be able to acquire a Certified Sampler license by the state regulatory agency.
- Must be able to be licensed as Certified Industry Supervisor in accordance with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (current edition) and state regulatory agency.

Job Profile Summary
Maintains quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and recording the results. Properly documents inspection results in reports and logs. Maintains measurement and testing equipment and helps resolve issues. Looks for continuous improvement opportunities and stays current on industry trends and best practices. Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspects incoming, in-process, and finished materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating needed adjustments to the supervisor.
- Documents and updates inspection results by completing reports and logs. If needed, returns products for re-work and completes documentation confirming re-work.
- Collects, reviews and summarizes laboratory and in-plant process quality information and trends.
- Ensures measurement equipment is operating correctly by following operating instructions and calling for repairs when needed.
- Assists in resolving quality-related issues, tracking quality trends, and recommending and implementing plans to improve quality and production efficiency.
- Stays current on industry trends and best practices.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Quality Inspector needed in Fort Collins

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Inspector upholds the following Responsibilities:
- Adhering to the codes of the company’s Quality Management System.
- Maintaining open communications and a professional working relationship with all employees.
- Logging time worked per job into ERP software system.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects so classified.
- Identify parts using automated and manual methods.
- Using paints and overcoats to touch-up parts and overcoat part marking.
- Filling customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance.
- Using computer hardware and software to generate labels and maintain equipment.
- Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Performing daily and weekly cleaning according to SOPs

We are currently searching for a detail oriented and highly motivated Quality Inspector for a local warehouse.
The Quality Inspector performs regular product evaluations, records inspection results, and communicates improvements to the production team. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate great attention to detail with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Perform regular quality assessments on all finished goods prior to releasing to the warehouse.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Read and interpret product specifications and quality standards.
- Measure product dimensionally, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Evaluate and ensure that packaging and labeling standards meet requirements.
- Communicate necessary improvements to the production team to ensure quality control.
- Document shift performance by completing reports and performance records.
- Support training for production associates on quality standards and policies.
- Coordinate the containment process, i.e. MRB for suspect material or product.
- Generate discrepant material reports.
- Monitor SPC to ensure run stability.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Computer skills – MS office, emails, and reports.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good understanding of quality standards, measure and test techniques.
