Cost Estimator / Project Manager

Location: Jasper TN 

$22.00-24.00 

1st shift 

Job Description and Duties: Responsible for estimating and quoting new products based on customer specifications. 

Monitor and ensure compliance of materials and material traceability databases for products purchased. 

Work with production supervisors to establish processes, controls, and solutions. 

Communicate and work with all levels of management, plant operations, and engineering as needed to meet the goals set for product implementation. 

Ensure product testing meets customer reliability, performance, and functional requirements. Formulate and manage the development and implementation of new products to ensure manufacturing methods are cost effective.

 Serve as liaison between organization, outside vendors and customers as needed. 

Schedule customer orders with production and customer service to ensure accuracy of quoted delivery date.  

Follow up as required to update the customer. 

Purchase material as needed from network of suppliers.

Strong communication/interpersonal skills, and effective leadership abilities.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical specifications.

Possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and establish production costs. 

Advanced computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AS400.
