Sewing Machine Operator needed for manufacturing company located in Sharon Center

$17.00 per hour

Temp to Hire

$200 Unlimited Referral Bonuses

2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm

Sewing Machine Operator Job Duties:

Manipulate fabric through the sewing machines
Operate various sewing machines to join parts of fabricated articles
Observes stitching to detect defects
Stitch binding tape or zippers to exposed edges of garments
Stamp grommets into edges of garments using mallet and punch or eyelet machine
Cut excess material or thread, using blade attached to machine or scissors
Select cut pieces of fabric and sewing supplies, for example; binding, webbing, cord piping, tape, thread, or welt, according to specifications or color of material

Job Requirements:

Basic sewing knowledge and use of industrial-type sewing machines
Knowledge of template patterns and ability to follow sewing markings
At least 6 months machine operation required

Job Requirements

Minimum 12 months relevant Machine Operator experience
Able to use basic hand and power tools
Basic math
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Ability to identify problems
Able to multi-task
Attention to detail
Able to read ruler/tape measure
Basic computer skills

Job Responsibilities

Follow safety guidelines
Follow standard work instructions as assigned
Perform hands-on tasks
Lift up to 50lbs, stand, bend, and reach
Maintain clean and organized workspace
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Experience with CNC, a plus
Routine maintenance checks
Ensure product meets customer specifications
Meet production standards
Work in a team environment
Accurate recordkeeping and quality documentation
Inspection of product
Set up and operation of machinery
