ResourceMFG is in search of a reliable Manual Mill Machinist for our client located in Detroit, Michigan. 

Direct Hire 

Responsibilities & Duties

• Read and interpret documents including process sheets, blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
• Load and unload parts into fixtures for machining purposes and deburring
• Operate machines with proven programs
• Monitor the production process
• Perform and document In-Process Inspections
• Move parts and paperwork to the next stage of production.
• Maintain work areas and equipment.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• 5-10 years experience in an active Machinist role
• Capable of running Floor Mills, Bridge Mills, Planer Mills, & Saws
• Good math and mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Critical thinking and a drive for problem-solving
• A positive and a proactive mindset
• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to Set-Up and prove out new & existing jobs.
• Loading & Unloading of Parts into Machines & Fixtures using Cranes & Magnets
• Candidate must be able to read and use inspection equipment & tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Etc)
