ResourceMFG is seeking a CNC Machinist for our client located in Wixom, Michigan. 

Direct Hire 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The incumbent of this role must have three to five (3-5) years’ experience as a Machinist. They must have experience with manual or CNC lathes and manual or CNC mills. The incumbent of this role must have the ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements, knowledge of GD&T principles and programming and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Must possess good math skills with analytical abilities, time management and organizational skills with an overall machinist aptitude. They must have the ability to make recommendations and implementation for process and efficiency improvements with ability to provide for continuous improvement. Preferably the incumbent of this role has knowledge of the Plastics industry, experience using CAM software, experience with 5-axis machining, and possess their own tools.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

§ Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output.

§ Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.

§ Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.

§ Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job.

§ Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.

§ Keep a record of approved and defective units or final products.

§ Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.

§ Complies with applicable safety standards.

§ CAD CAM Experience – Required

§ Ability to Understand and use M&G Code

§ Support continuous improvement efforts to improve material flow, shop floor material flow, communication, and teamwork.

§ Promote effective working relationships with other departments by maintaining consistent and concise communication.

§ Keep appropriate management informed of potential performance obstacles and offer workable solutions.

§ Participate and review issues with Team Leader and the Continuous Improvement Group to assist in overall performance improvement.

§ Strong learning skills to work with multiple company systems.

§ Ability to work with and develop team members and other employees.

§ Organizational, planning and documentation skills.

§ High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience

§ Maintain a SAFETY-FIRST focus for all actions and behaviors.

§ Work under limited supervision.
