Job Information

Machine shop company in Vista, CA. is looking for a manual conventional machinist to start immediately.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Operating and daily maintenance of Acra Mills, Cadillac Lathes and/or Sip jig bores, completing jobs in a timely fashion, cleaning parts adequately and completing any necessary paperwork.
Must be able to set up and operate standard manual machine tools such as Milling Machines (vertical and horizontal), engine lathes, surface grinders and manual machines.
Able to collaborate with a team to troubleshoot a repair while keeping a streamlined workflow in mind.
Verify dimensions and alignment using measuring equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.) are accurate to work instructions and specifications
Complete all required documentation to quality standards.

3 years minimum machining experience required. Ideally 5-10 years hands on experience.
Skilled with running/using manual Lathe, Mill, Jig bore machines
Must be able to repair parts to very close tolerances (0.0005") under minimal supervision with a keen attention to detail.
Will be required to help maintain efficient shop to meet desirable turn-around time, (TAT).
Self-starter, able to work efficiently with minimum supervision.
