Production Associates needed in West Unity, OH

3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:30am for $16.06 an hour

JOB FUNCTION:

To ensure product made is at or above the standards set by our customers - based on quality, correct packaging and on-time delivery

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Visually inspects parts (according to the sample board), and trims part when necessary
Packs correct number of parts into prescribed carton
Places identification label on full skids, and may be required to take full skid to its proper storage area
Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies; responsible for cleanliness of work station, machine appearance, and floor surrounding the work station
Sets aside parts that do not meet specifications
Regrinds or disposes of scrap
Prepares necessary paperwork
Responsible for filling out In-Process Inspection Card and assuring process is running acceptable quality level parts

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

May be responsible for the training of new associates, completing the New Associate Training/Evaluation Forms (FO18-03) and the Part Training Verification Checksheet (FO18-45).
May drive towmotor to load, unload parts and/or materials
Keeps material handler, lead person, or supervisor apprised of material or tooling needs
May help conduct periodic inventory

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION:

Must be able to stand for the full shift. Sitting may be allowed in some cases in hold area, re-work area, or pre-approved work area - this will be approved by EHS and Senior Production Manager only. There may be some bending.
Mental alertness to change in quality of product, and to call for assistance when needed
Ability to keep up with a moderate-speed conveyor line
Manual dexterity required
Ability to lift 35 pounds infrequently
