Roustabout/Pumper

Resource MFG is looking for a Roustabout/Pumper in the Robinson, IL area.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has little to no experience in the field, but is looking to start a career in the oil industry. This is a temp-to-hire position with the possibility of moving to a full-time role with the employer.

This position requires you to work 45+ hours each week. Overtime is mandatory at time and a half.

Shift – Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

Pay- $16/hour

As a roustabout, you have varied duties aimed at keeping oil rigs running efficiently and safely.

Other responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of drill sites, transporting and storing materials and supplies to work areas, and installing equipment.

They also conduct repairs on broken pumps and other equipment and maintain tools for drilling and extraction. This person will mostly work outdoors, year around, in all-weather conditions.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Must possess physical stamina and mental resilience.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be flexible, able to work in small, cramped spaces in all weather conditions.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior workers.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to operate oilfield machinery used for this position
• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work on your own and in a group setting
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to able work nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
