Industrial Electrician Needed for our Client in Mead

Direct Hire Placement! 

Industrial Electrician - $30 - $38/hour 

The Electrician’s primary responsibility is to perform the overall maintenance of Electrical and Instrumentation systems at the Mead and Specialty Place facilities.

Industrial Electrician Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains all electrical equipment on the plant site(s)
  • Lays out new equipment installations
  • Plans conduit and wire pulling runs and installs according to NEC standards
  • Responsible for low voltage and instrumentation wiring installations and maintenance
  • Responsible for instrumentation repair or replacement and installation
  • Responsible for Electrical Contractors on the plant site and making sure the work being performed is according to NEC standards
  • Interprets electrical prints, Control and Power
  • Performs PLC programming and troubleshooting where applicable
  • Performs cross the line starter installation and troubleshooting
  • Performs VFD installations, programming and troubleshooting
  • Can read and understand P&ID schematics, blueprints, drawings, sketches and specifications
  • Performs maintenance and installation for systems up to 480 Volts
  • Controls experience with PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, Sensors and Transducers a plus
  • Electrical troubleshooting for HVAC units, exhaust systems, cooling tower controls, chillers and utilities
  • Works on call as needed

Job Requirements

Industrial Electrician Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and Electrician related experience and/or training
  • Colorado state journeyman license; Master’s license a plus

Industrial Electrician Experience

  • Experience with Class 1, Division 1 & 2 electrical systems
  • Experience with Instrumentation and Controls
  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment Required
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Must pass a job-related physical exam

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high voltage electrical work, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be working in laboratories, manufacturing areas, and storage facilities that require the use of PPE.
