Manual Machinist's needed in Dayton

Looking for manual machinist with 5 plus years of experience to work for a a company that rebuilds rotating equipment for the refining and petrochemical industries. They specialize in rotating equipment maintenance and centrifuge repairs and service all brands and sizes of steam-driven turbines, pumps, and gearboxes. Machinist that are Knowledgeable of steam turbines would be a huge plus.

This is a 1st shift position. Must be willing to work Saturdays as needed. Pay will range from 25-30 DOE.

Job Requirements

Duties:
  • Must be familiar with basic machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, threading operations.
  • Must be competent reading drawings and following instructions necessary to produce usable and saleable parts.
  • Must be able to hold tolerances as dictated by drawings, written instructions, or industry standards.
  • Must be proficient with the use of, the care of, and the calibration of all types of measuring devices (i.e. micrometers (OD and ID), dial calipers, dial indicators, etc.).
  • Must possess and provide basic tools required for the execution of the position of manual machinist.
