Descriptive Summary
The Production Packer is responsible for proper packaging, labeling items, making sure all flavor batches are in their appropriate packaging and for enforcement of the highest level of good manufacturing practices in all areas of production. The Production Packer must pay attention to detail and have the ability to organize items in an efficient and careful manner.
Essential Job Duties
1. Responsible for packing all finished flavor batches into their respective proper packaging.
2. Responsible for the application of Good Manufacturing Practices for the handling and processing of materials by production personnel.
3. Responsible for self and others for the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
4. Responsible for the Critical Control Point CCP-1P (Screen: Foreign Material Check) checks on each batch of finished goods.
5. Responsible for the recording of data of all sanitation logs.
6. Responsible for the sanitation of the Production Room and the overall manufacturing facility
7. Responsible for the weekly monitoring of facility compliance on the Master Schedule.
8. Responsible for the practice of safe conduct in all production areas.
9. Responsible for the safe operation of powered equipment in all production areas.
10. Responsible for the enforcement of the highest levels of Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the production facility.
11. Responsible for the discipline of Good Sanitation Practices for the cleaning and maintaining of all production area floors, walls, tanks, blenders, scales, racks, containers, hoses and all equipment related to or involved in the processes of flavor production.
12. Responsible for the sanitation area regarding all stored raw materials.
Working Conditions
This position operated in a warehouse environment. Employees may be exposed to loud or distracting sounds, uncomfortable cold and heat, high traffic areas, and closed and cramped spaces. Appropriate PPE is required at all times.
Physical Requirements
• Read: Able to read and understand a variety of documents and printed materials
• Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Physical: Frequent sitting for extended periods of time
• Physical: Frequent bending at the waist and knees, reaching above the shoulders to retrieve or store materials, pushing/pulling and lifting up to 80lbs. regularly
• Physical: Walk back and forth repeatedly and move safely over uneven or in confined spaces
• Hearing: Ability to respond quickly to sounds
• Visual: Ability to see and respond to hazards or dangerous situations Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• High motivation and pursuit of excellence
• Good Math skills
• Basic safety knowledge Preferred Education and Experience
• 1-year warehouse experience
• Experience in Flavor industry a plus
