• Pay rate: $26.00-29.00 hour
• Location: 83rd Ave and Van Buren
• 1st Shift-8 hr shifts- Work every other weekend

The primary responsibility of the Mold Maintenance Technician is to set and remove injection molds, and to perform minor cleaning and maintenance on the molds. The Mold Maintenance Technician will also work with the Supervisor or Process Engineer to optimize the molding process, and must have the ability to do color changes and scale calibration.

Mold Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• The Mold Maintenance Technician will be expected to assist the maintenance team as necessary
• Lead in coordination with Tooling Engineer all phases of mold rebuilding and refurbishments
• Schedule and perform in press mold Preventative Maintenance (cleaning of molding surfaces, re-greasing leader pins and wear surfaces)
• Clean and maintain molds and components using standard cleaning solvents and alcohol, inspect mold components for wear and damage, (compare plastic parts to steel parts to check for wear and damage, measure steel parts using calipers, micrometers, and indicators) and reassemble the molds.
• Disassemble molds, clean mold plates and components.
• Troubleshooting mold controllers and hot runners is a plus (doing wiring, inspecting hot runner tips).
• Set and remove injection molds from molding machines Assist Process Engineer in productivity enhancing projects that are mold related Analyzing and correcting mold related problems (trouble shooting, water leaks, replace components)
• Maintain a documentation system to coordinate mold repairs and mold transfers to other locations.
• Mold repairs Maintain the parts inventory for molds.
• Update and maintain the EAM system Ordering supplies for the mold maintenance department
• Troubleshoot and repair the electrical issues in the multi-cavity hot runner molds.
• Assist in molding process set-up and optimization.
• Identifies and participates in in continues improvement activities.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience as a mold maintenance technician in a manufacturing factory
