A manufacturing client of ours known as a global supplier of stamped metal components and assemblies has two locations in Cleveland, OH and Avon, OH searching for 1st and 2nd shift CNC Machinist. 

1st shift hours: 7AM - 3:30PM

2nd shift hours: 3:30PM - 12:00AM

Duties of a CNC Machinist:

• Personally operating electronic or other machinery
• Regulating speed of machinery (other than transport)
• Adjusting machines
• Setting up equipment or machinery for operation
• Cleaning or oiling machinery
• Adjusting focus of visual device
• Operating machine controls (other than transport) Stopping machinery at precise point indicated
• Examine machinery/equipment to check working order
• Regular checking of machinery for maintenance
• Reading from a VDU
• Using a vernier
• using dividers or calipers or micrometers 
• Entering details into computer
• Measuring angles
• Using a role or other physical measuring instrument

Job Requirements

• high school, GED 
• Knowledge of blueprint reading
• Knowledge of tool room equipment
• Knowledge in the use of precision instruments
• Demonstrated math skills

preferred: 

• Knowledge of metal properties and abrasives
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process at overview level
• Knowledge of mechanical processes
