In Battle Creek, MI a manufacturing client of ours is searching for Fleet Maintenance Mechanics for their direct hire opportunities on 2nd shift (4PM - 2AM Monday - Friday). Pay for these roles vary based off experience ranging from $24.00 - 32.00 / Hour!

Duties of a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic:

• Responsible for maintaining refrigerated storage trailers and transports
• Performs preventative maintenance on trailers
• Minor repairs as needed
• Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards
• Effectively utilize time available to achieve results through prioritizing demands
• Maintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectively
• Demonstrates problem solving and decision making ability, as needed
• Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn

Other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements

• Willing to take a mechanical aptitude test
• high school diploma or equivalent 
• 3 years minimum experience 

• Must have knowledge of diesel engine repair and diagnostics
• Must check oil, coolant levels and belts on refrigerated trailers
